Overflow work ? So, like the flood in Toronto last week? Um, no.

A week ago at the time of this Blog being published, many areas in Toronto flooded.  Our firm lost power due to the flood for half of the business day and fortunately, because we’re on the 4th floor that is just labeled the 1st floor (not even kidding) the only hardship was to get to our homes to work from home.

This ironically had me thinking about the overflow work we do in the firm.  We don’t talk about it a lot on the Blog, so now it’s getting its moment to shine.

Because of our 31 years of experience in business law, we’re set up to assist in-house counsel with overflow work.   This work includes contract review and drafting, privacy work, and general litigation advice.  As I like to say, “we’re small but mighty” and many multinational corporations enjoy working with us on their overflow work.

Some of the reasons our firm is a good choice for overflow work are:

  1. Conflict check turnaround time is within the hour, usually immediate;
  2. We provide a realistic timeline for the work to be completed and generally finish sooner;
  3. We understand what in-house counsel needs to shine in their role and we’re happy to help focus the spotlight on them;
  4. We’re familiar with billing and legal tracking software used by corporations and able to easily tailor our invoices to their specific needs;
  5. We’re easy to work with.

If you’re interested in having our firm work with you, reach out to me, or to our solicitor, Robin K. Mann (), and let’s talk about how we can help with your overflow.
